What if SCAP data isn’t ideal for the application?

In some cases, we may choose to use performance charts directly from the Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM) instead of SCAP. This is often preferred when: 
  • The SCAP-generated data files are too large for efficient use in the app.
  • The AFM provides separate accelerate-go and accelerate-stop charts, which allow for V1 optimization and credit for clearways/stopways.
  • Balanced field length data from SCAP typically does not allow for this level of optimization.
