Quick start tips and tricks for using iPreFlight Genesis

Make the most of your experience with these helpful tips:

Keep the app open during downloads:

• When downloading files in Data Updates, keep the Genesis app open until the download is fully complete.

Resolve critical alerts to access reports:

• While in a trip, make sure all Critical (red) alerts are resolved to unlock Trip Reports.

Tap the alert icon in the upper-right corner to view and address alerts.

Tap blue text and icons:

• Blue text, outlines, arrows, and ellipses are interactive—tap them to explore additional options or reveal more information.

Delete a trip:

• On the Trips list, swipe left on a trip to reveal the Delete option, then confirm your choice.

Sort the Trips list:

• Tap any column header (e.g., City Pair, ETD) to sort the list. Tap again to reverse the sort order.

Supports both imperial and metric units:

• The Genesis app automatically handles both unit systems.

Remove the emoji keyboard (if needed):

• If the emoji key becomes disruptive:
  1. Go to iPad Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards.
  2. Tap Edit.
  3. Tap the red delete circle next to “Emoji”.
  4. Tap Delete.

Return to the Main Menu:

• Tap the hamburger icon in the upper-left corner of the app at any time to return to the main menu.
