How is VAPP/VAC determined?

Manufacturers have some flexibility in selecting this speed, but it must meet these criteria:

• Not less than.5 times the stall speed in the go-around flap configuration.
• The go-around flap setting must not increase stall speed by more than 10% compared to the full landing flap setting.
