How does APG handle obstacles in later takeoff segments?

If an obstacle appears in the third or fourth segment, APG will attempt to:

• Extend the second segment to clear the obstacle earlier.
• Stay within AFM-certified limits for extended second segment height (due to engine thrust time limits—typically 5 or 10 minutes)
