Can I operate without an obstacle analysis if my AFM allows see-and-avoid procedures?

While your AFM may permit see-and-avoid operations, APG does not recommend this approach. Our obstacle analyses often account for hundreds—sometimes thousands—of obstacles per runway. Relying solely on visual avoidance can lead to unsafe situations and is strongly discouraged.
